Michael Castaneda was born and raised in the small town Ocala, FL. After high school he started to pursue a career in the film industry. At the age of 20, Castaneda helped produce a full length feature film that was distributed nationwide.
For the next 8 years, he became a golf professional and managed a Country Club in his hometown. He was never truly happy and something always felt like it was missing, so he made a decision to quit the day job, sell everything and started driving West.
That drive changed his life because he was exposed to parts of nature that are rarely seen. This drove Castaneda to pick up a camera and start telling a story of the world through how he saw it. The goal was and still remains to inspire people to get out and enjoy these views first hand.
Castaneda has been shooting professionally for five years. Photography has molded into an extension of Castaneda that pushes him every day to learn and experience more everyday. Photography is that thing that was always missing.
